# Automatic installation
|
|
|
**WARNING: This is still pretty new and untested!
|
|
|
Do a backup of your weewx configuration folder (e.g: `/etc/weewx/`) before trying!**
|
|
|
|
|
|
### Download and run install script:
|
|
|
```
|
|
|
curl -s https://gitlab.ambhost.net/stimpy/template_rabenwetter/raw/master/src/tools/install.sh | sh -s -- /path/to/weewx/configuration/folder/ <language>
|
|
|
```
|
|
|
#### For example:
|

# Manual installation
|
|
|
* **Download the Rabenwetter skin as a [zip-file](https://gitlab.ambhost.net/stimpy/template_rabenwetter/-/archive/master/template_rabenwetter-master.zip) or using git:**
|
|
|
> ```
|
|
|
> git clone https://gitlab.ambhost.net/stimpy/template_rabenwetter.git
|
|
|
> ````
|
|
|
|
|
|
* **Copy `dist/*` to a new folder inside your weewx `skins` directory.**
|
|
|
> **Example:**
|
|
|
> ```
|
|
|
> cp -r template_rabenwetter/dist/* /etc/weewx/skins/Rabenwetter/
|
|
|
> ```
|
|
|
|
|
|
* **Copy localized files and delete i18n folder from installation** (optional)
|
|
|
> **Example:**
|
|
|
> ```
|
|
|
> cp -r template_rabenwetter/dist/i18n/de/* /etc/weewx/skins/Rabenwetter/
|
|
|
> rm -r /etc/weewx/skins/Rabenwetter/i18n/
|
|
|
> ```

|
|
|
|
|
* **Apply supplied patch.**
|
|
|
> **Example:**
|
|
|
> ```

|

> patch -p1 /usr/share/weewx/weewx/cheetahgenerator.py template_rabenwetter/cheetahgenerator.patch
|

|
> ```

|
|
>
|
|
|
> This patch adds the ability to append week numbers to archive filenames,
|
|
|
> which is needed for the graphs on the archive page.
|
|
|
> **As of weeWX v3.8.2, you will need to reapply this patch everytime, you're
|
|
|
> updating your weewx version!**
|
|
|
>
|
|
|
> The patch has already been [merged with the development branch](https://github.com/weewx/weewx/pull/319)
|
|
|
> of weewx, so it will be included with future releases of weeWX, rendering
|
|
|
> this step useless in the future. I'll update this readme accordingly.
